The devil is in the details. Read the SB referenced. It sounds like a lot of money until you do the math. It doesn’t come close to covering the cost of security personnel at every campus. The HB is a better solution and was approved in plenty of time. If the response is that the district should cover some of the cost, I don’t disagree but that would assume districts aren’t wildly under funded with the state sitting on a literal pile of cash. Our elected officials are either for increasing safety and security for our educators and students or they are not. There is no in between.
