Optimization is one of the biggest opportunities in quantum computing. BCG projects quantum computing could create up to $850B in economic value by 2040. Optimization alone is estimated at $100B–$220B, comparable to the global cybersecurity or semiconductor equipment markets. D-Wave’s Advantage2 annealing quantum computer has 4,400 qubits and, with hybrid solvers, can support problems with up to 2M variables. Our roadmap moves toward Advantage3 systems with 20,000 and ultimately 100,000 qubits, expanding the size and complexity of optimization problems customers can tackle. The market is large. The use cases are real. And our customers are already seeing value. $QBTS #quantumcomputing

Amidst the excitement of @LDNTechWeek, one thing is clear: the UK is moving fast on quantum. A quarter of surveyed UK businesses are actively adopting quantum computing right now. Our research with @Censuswide, polling more than 1,000 senior UK business decision makers, found that 65% are already adopting or testing the technology. The question has shifted from whether to explore quantum to how quickly these respondents can put it to work. And the early movers are pulling ahead. Organizations actively engaging with quantum estimate nearly twice the commercial value of those still waiting — and are more than twice as likely to believe it's already delivering value today (37% vs 16%). This is the Quantum Effect in action. Learn more about the survey here: dwavequantum.com/company/new…

📷 Last week, the D-Wave team attended the Yale Innovation Summit. Hosted by @Yale_Ventures the event brought together investors, founders, researchers, and policy leaders to explore the next generation of transformative startups. At the Summit, D-Wave CEO Dr. @Alan_Baratz and Chief Scientist Dr. Rob Schoelkopf joined CT Commissioner of Economic Development Daniel @okeefe for a fireside chat on where quantum is already delivering value for customers today, how AI and quantum can work together, and what D-Wave and the U.S. Department of Commerce's proposed $100M CHIPS Act investment means for the industry. The Company also showcased its annealing and gate-model QPUs at the event, highlighting D-Wave’s unique dual-platform approach to quantum computing. Next week, D-Wave will be at London Tech Week discussing the meaningful value quantum computing is delivering to our customers today. In advance of the event, we’re publishing the results of a survey examining how UK organizations are moving from theoretical exploration of quantum computing into practical application In partnership with @Censuswide, we polled more than 1,000 senior UK business decision makers and the results point to a significant shift in enterprise attitudes. 41% of large UK enterprises surveyed estimate quantum computing could unlock more than £100 million in value in as little as one year. And 65% are already adopting or testing the technology today. We've dubbed this 'The Quantum Effect': the moment organizations move beyond viewing quantum as a theoretical future technology and begin applying it to practical business challenges - in optimization, logistics, manufacturing, and AI. On @CNBC @SquawkStreet yesterday, I discussed our market-defining approach: D-Wave is the only company bringing both annealing and gate-model quantum computing to market — because different problems require different quantum systems. Our annealing systems are helping customers like @ATT, @BASF, and @anduriltech solve complex operational challenges now, and are showing early potential in enhancing AI model training, including work with Shionogi. Beyond annealing, our newly announced gate-model roadmap targets 100 logical qubits capable of successfully performing more than 1 million operations by 2032 — a milestone designed to accelerate commercial, fault-tolerant quantum computing. This is what leadership in quantum looks like: commercial systems driving customer value today, with a platform built for what comes next. #QuantumComputing #AI $QBTS cnbc.com/video/2026/06/01/d-…

The United States is facing a growing compute and energy crunch driven by the massive processing power needed to train and run advanced AI systems. A recent piece in @TheWellNews explores how quantum computing is emerging as a complementary energy-efficient computing tool to help address the compute, energy, and infrastructure constraints created by AI. Allison Schwartz, senior vice president of global government relations and public affairs at D-Wave, highlights how the benefits of combining quantum and AI could begin showing real world impact in the near term. She encourages policymakers, including leaders at the U.S. Department of @ENERGY implementing Genesis Mission, to recognize the role quantum computing could play in supporting energy-efficient computing solutions. Scientific progress in quantum computing depends on rigorous comparison between classical and quantum methods, and precision in how results are communicated. D-Wave welcomes advances in classical simulation, including recent tensor-network work from the Flatiron Institute and collaborators. But claims that D-Wave’s peer-reviewed demonstration of beyond-classical quantum simulation has been “overturned” are not supported by the scientific record. The recent work advances the classical state of the art. It does not reproduce the full scope of D-Wave’s original demonstration. Today, D-Wave released a statement addressing false claims that its peer-reviewed demonstration of beyond-classical quantum simulation has been “overturned”: dwavequantum.com/company/new… More from: ▪️ @Alan_Baratz: linkedin.com/feed/update/urn… ▪️ Trevor Lanting: linkedin.com/pulse/d-waves-b… ▪️ Andrew King: linkedin.com/pulse/still-bey… D-Wave's quantum supremacy demonstration stands.
