The new @Superhuman overlords at @superhumanHQ appear to have borked the mail client with the change-over in progress? It said it would be down on Nov 29, but it now appears to be down altogether with the web or mac client. Please don't fuck up the best mail client out there-- you will royally piss off the customers base you sought to acquire.

Why is everyone saying "Happy Monday", "Happy Friday", "Happy Thursday" all the time now on like every conference call? It's literally infecting the planet. It's not that I DON'T want people to be having a great day, it's just that it feels a little like what you'd say right after "Dear Leader".

Found your article on Craigslist apartment scams interesting @Dannosphere but a bit surprised that there was not one word from CL here. Are they not working to mitigate this? Channeling @kevin2kelly ... this is a prime example of "What technology wants". AGI (GPT 5?) is in the works, board concerned about safety, tapping the brakes, they fire @sama, etc. But technology routes around 'censorship'... a newco will be formed, pace will not be slowed.

I'm not flag waving here for AGI, or technology in general, just observing that thinking it can be mediated or made 'safer' is likely wishful thinking.

Likely as fruitless as the effort this year suggesting we 'pause'. There are so many open source models out there and everyone is pursuing this in parallel. The larger more well funded efforts will get there quicker.... others will lag 1yr, maybe 2 at most?
