I think dbd still has an open conversation with older licenses like freddys so it's within possibility they can update models, tweak powers, etc The licensors just don't see a reason to do more actual content with some characters Not like you can really do anything with freddy

Between blumhouse, jason universe, Terrifier, and even INK, I think bhvr has A LOT of doors open to them we used to think were closed Tbf they were probably always opener, but i feel its a bit more obvious now

Glenn entering the Fog makes licensed lore really messy because now Rick and Michonne will have seen Glenn die and possibly Daryl and Maggie too so seeing this glen alive that is clearly not their Glen, be very curious how the voicelines will reflect that

this anniversary has me very excited for DBD's future and the final outcome from this, but when the honeymoon phase wears off, I'm not looking forward to the dbd community picking apart all of these different announcements. I'm scared man Sorry to be a debbie downer
