I have a feeling Palworld is going to be a monster hit that addicts millions of players and consumes many lives, but will somehow be less important in the gaming world than 12 hour interactive single player movie games.

Hey Xbox, no one can find a job in gaming as it is, so thanks for making like 400 more people unemployed that will now be looking for a job to make it even worse. Keep raking in those trillions though.

You know why Xbox shows Hellblade 3 THEN shut down Ninja Theory? They're hoping someone buys the studio so they can pay for the game to get finished while MS publishes it and cashes in for nothing. It's a pretty vile tactic.

By the way, I blame Phil Spencer for these studios closing. He didn't do his job. He let the inmates run the asylum. How do you let Double Fine make a game where you're a lighthouse? They work for you. If they can't come up with good ideas you tell them what to make.

Company contacts me wanting to recruit me. I have a great interview with the recruiter. I spend my weekend building a demo that's akin to the games they make.Monday morning I get a copy/pasted rejection letter and they don't even look at my project. That's the gaming industry.

Let's be clear: Kotaku has no idea if Xbox is shutting down Compulsion Games. They're just guessing. It's a good guess however, because if anyone's going first it will be them of Double Fine.

I did some research with some Unity scripts that I bought. I have a script that deforms terrains. I searched google AI for syntax on how to deform terrains - and it showed me the exact script. This isn't surprising, but how are we allowing AI to steal like this?

As gamers we complain about everything except publishers selling finished games 3 days early and charging you $100 for it. I know eventually ya'll are going to catch on to this scam, but i want to make it known that I was doing it first. I want the credit 2 years from now.

My first job as CEO would have been to stop calling it "Cloud Gaming" and call it "Xbox Streaming." Casuals have no idea what cloud gaming means. Everyone understand what "streaming" means. Netflix normalized it.

At the end of the day, Xbox needs to get rid of the dead weight they have with studios that don't bring subscribers to Game Pass. They're just wasting money.

We don't need next gen consoles. What's the point? Most devs can't afford to create games that match the power of today's consoles. If they could, we wouldn't have any 4k/60 fps games. They use the extra headroom for that. A new gen just means longer dev cycles and higher costs.
