Learn all about one of the most written about & fascinating Irish women in the Middles Ages: Gormlaith (d.948) daughter of Flann Sinna, reputedly queen to 3 powerful men: King of Munster, Cormac mac Cuilennáin; King of Leinster, Cerball mac Muirecáin; King of Tara, Niall Glúndub.
In our penultimate episode of season 1 we were incredibly lucky to get the erudite Prof. Máire Ní Mhaonaigh @Department_ASNC out to the recording studio @MaynoothUni. We chatted all about Gormlaith (d. 948), queen, reputed poet & daughter of Flann Sinna. open.spotify.com/episode/5uL…
