Stephen Miller wants to flip a switch and erase one of your oldest rights. It’s called habeas corpus. Fancy words but a simple idea that the government can’t just grab you and lock you away. It has to prove to a judge why you’re behind bars. That right is 800 years old. It’s older than America itself. And Miller tried to kill it. New reporting confirms it. Inside the White House, Miller pushed to suspend habeas corpus so agents could seize people, detain them, and deport them with no judge, no hearing, no chance to say “you’ve got the wrong guy.” Even Trump’s own lawyers put in writing that this is illegal. Miller pushed anyway. Miller screams “invasion” because the Constitution only allows this sort of thing during an invasion. But this same crowd brags every day that border crossings hit record lows. So which is it? The right to challenge your own detention is the line between a republic and a regime. Lose it, and the government can disappear anyone. I will fight this with everything I have. The Constitution is not optional. Not for Stephen Miller. Not for anyone. nytimes.com/2026/06/15/us/po…

Elias: Why does California have signature matching? They have it to satisfy the same right-wing zealots who claim there’s fraud, right? So they do this whole kabuki theater that takes all of this time in order to contend with the fact that people say that if you don’t do signature matching, there’s going to be fraud. And then they get attacked for taking the time to do that very thing. The fact that the New York Times thinks there’s a middle ground here… Here’s my message: I don’t compromise with Republicans because there is no middle ground between a firefighter and an arsonist, and they are trying to burn down democracy.

You know what? #FactsMatter Stop blaming Biden to make your party look better. MAGA republicans are all a bunch of failures & liars. Funny how easily MAGATS get gaslighted by their own party. I’m just setting the record straight folks.

Let's walk through what actually happened here, in order. DOGE cut the USAID program specifically designed to prevent screwworm from crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. DOGE cut USDA's animal disease control and prevention funding. That funding had supported more than 180 outbreak investigations in 22 countries and capacity-building in more than 160 laboratories. The screwworm monitoring and response program that watched the border for exactly this parasite - cut. Then screwworm showed up in Texas cattle. Texas Governor Greg Abbott declared a disaster for Zavala and Uvalde counties this week. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins went on CNBC this morning and blamed the Biden administration, 17 months out of office. Her specific words: "obviously not much had been done to push back." The program that was supposed to push back existed. DOGE eliminated it in March 2025. Rollins has been Agriculture Secretary since February 13, 2025. The cuts happened on her watch. Beef prices are already high. Ranchers in south Texas are now dealing with a flesh-eating parasite that was eradicated in this country in the 1960s - eradicated, specifically, using the sterile fly program her department defunded. The flies existed. The program existed. The budget existed. Until it didn't.
Trump's agriculture secretary laid the blame for the outbreak on the Biden administration, despite it being more than 17 months since Biden's term ended. thedailybeast.com/brooke-rol…

California just held an election with paper ballots, signature verification, audits, bipartisan oversight, and public vote counting procedures. You don’t get to yell “fraud” every time voters make a choice you don’t like. Take the whiny little b*tch act somewhere else. We’re not buying that bullshit in this state!

RT @LACentrist: I see a lot of Pratt supporters going off on the fact that it’s statistically impossible for Pratt to receive not one vote…

RT @MzSgtPepper: Seriously. We do. This also applies to anyone who votes for mAgats, fascists, and right wing lunatics. t.co/gQXM9

California takes so long to count votes because here, we are allowed to vote by mail so we don't lose our pay in order to exercise our Consitutional right to vote. We also check every ballot signature that comes in from our 23.1 MILLION registered voters. There have been 71 cases of voter fraud total in California in 8 years and they have been prosecuted. Red states should try this instead of suppressing votes and letting voter fraud go unchecked. #DemsUnited

Trump was warned by US intelligence that attacking Iran would lead to attacks on US bases, regional attacks, and the closing of the Strait. It is all in the 2025 intelligence threat assessment. Intelligence also repeated year after year that Iran wasn't working on a nuclear weapon. And the administration admitted there was no imminent threat. Trump started a war anyway. Trump started this war because he thinks he can get away with anything. He thought he could bomb Iran's leaders, and Iran would quickly turn around and agree to peace. Trump was wrong. Trump was warned. Trump started a war anyway. And now he doesn't know how to end it. This is fully Trump's war and Trump's mess. He deserves every bit of criticism he receives, no matter how much he whines about it on social media.
