The Voyager team has new data related to the ongoing FDS issue on #Voyager1 and is devising a potential plan of action.
Remember: This will take time since the spacecraft, which launched in 1977, is currently more than 15 billion miles (24 billion km) from Earth!

An update on my twin #Voyager1: The team recently sent a "poke" to prompt V1's flight data system (FDS) and received a signal that differed from past attempts. A DSN engineer helped decode this signal, which may contain clues to the source of the issue: go.nasa.gov/3RihsPR

A crop from yesterdays Fengyun 3D pass @ 13:13Z. Southern France and the Iberian peninsula with quite some snowy mountains, including in the Sierra de Guadarrama just NW of Madrid.

NASA's Psyche mission received here while in lock with Madrid DSN station 35m DSS55 antenna. Range is 166M km. Received with the 1.2 m dish. About 10 dB over noise level.

Almost the Ides of March and the STEREO-A decoding has not been killed yet here at EA4LE ;) 22.5 M km away from Earth STEREO-A signal is barely 2 dB over the noise level and #SatDump continues to properly manage it decoding all broadcasted products in beacon mode.

Dish is going to work on C-band. Some VHF/UHF cross Yagis are to be added at H-frame and will be working on horizontal, vertical, RHCP and LHCP polarization. All remote controlled.

Since the IQ Exporter module has been pretty popular, I'm adding a Network Source to allow sending data to SDR from any software. Again, there is a predefined list of samplerates to avoid geniuses setting a prime number as the samplerate and wondering why it uses 50GB of ram...

Thanks to the seminal work of @ea4gpz and @aang254, we are still decoding the STEREO-A space probe with small antennas (1.2m) almost six months after inferior conjunction in August 2023! Looking at the signal levels, guess we could have started decoding it as early as March 2023.

@merseyradar I built the double bazooka you did the build for, for civilian airband before Christmas and it easily performed as well as my Skanking Multiscan on my RTL-SDR, I’ve just this morning finished the Military Airband version so will give that a whirl soon! Thanks 👍🏻
