This is exactly why so many video editors can't land clients.
I said "No DMs, comments only," and people immediately started flooding my inbox. I also asked everyone to specify their niche, but a lot of people just pasted a portfolio link and hoped I'd do the work of figuring it out myself LOL.
Honestly, there were some genuinely strong candidates in my DMs. But if an editor can't pay attention to a simple post, I can't trust them with anything more importantđ.
đ¨ Looking for Assistant Video Editors đ¨
I'm expanding my editing team and looking for assistant editors for YouTube projects.
Requirements:
⢠Premiere Pro
⢠Good communication & reliability
⢠Ability to follow editing instructions
Projects will vary across different niches, so I'm currently looking for ONE editor per niche.
You'll start by handling rough cuts and assembly edits. Editors who consistently demonstrate quality, reliability, and attention to detail can eventually move on to editing FULL projects.
If you're interested, reply with:
⢠Your portfolio/reel
⢠The niche you'd like to work in and you have more experience.
