My wife came back from work yesterday looking disturbed. As soon as she sat down, she said, “There’s one guy that has been following me at the bus stop.” At first, I didn’t take it too seriously.

I woke up late for work this morning, and from the jump I already knew today was going to be one of those days. I rushed into the bathroom, had a quick bath, brushed my teeth, wore my clothes, and left the house in under 15 minutes.

That was when I realized I had worn a torn trouser. At that moment, I was already late for work, and there was no way I could turn back home. While I was adjusting my sitting position, the bus hit a deep pothole. The whole bus jumped. A loud fart escaped from my anus.

For about two seconds, I didn’t move. Then I slowly turned my head and every single person in that bus was looking at me. I just cleared my throat and said a small “sorry.” At that point, I was just hoping the ground would open up and swallow me.

The rate at which some of those touts in Oshodi are moving mad these days is actually alarming. I went to Oshodi yesterday to buy a few things. After I was done, one of those guys that help people carry loads to where they want to enter a bus approached me and carried my bags.

At that point, my mood changed completely. I dropped my bags on the floor and faced him. He started threatening me. Shouting, pointing fingers, and trying his best to intimidate me. But I didn't move. When he realized I wasn't backing down, he started calling for backup.

He kept shouting for the other touts around to come over. But they were standing at a distance watching and didn't answer him. I pushed him aside and told the guy carrying my stuff to keep moving. We passed immediately and continued on our way while the tout kept barking.

I flogged someone today for the first time in years, and I don’t regret it. This guy came to my house, walked into my kitchen, and helped himself to some food. He then went into my game room, turned on the console, and even had the audacity to call me to come and play with him.

I didn’t say anything. I just joined him. He was eating loudly while cracking the most ridiculous jokes. When I finally got tired of his nonsense, I sat up properly and flogged him 6–0 in the game. The guy couldn’t believe it as tears nearly rolled down his eyes.

My babe decided she wanted to learn how to drive for the first time today. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure it was a good idea. Especially after hearing all those stories people tell about female drivers.

But she wasn’t reacting. She wasn’t even looking panicked. It was like she was completely in control of something only she understood. The car kept moving faster. My heart started racing at that point because the situation was no longer normal.

When the car finally came to a stop, she had crashed into five cars and cleared the legs of passersby. She got out of the car laughing while the instructor asked if she would like to go for another round of the arcade racing. I just looked at her and smiled.
