Danielle demonstrates RNF10 and USP10 regulate site-specific 40S ubiquitylation and that constitutive ubiquitylation leads to 40S degradation!!!

Congrats to Danielle @DGarshott and our collaborators Wade Harper @jwadeharper1 and Heeseon An for putting together a compelling study.

.@UCSDMedSchool researchers unlock a way to keep lab-grown stem cells healthy, which is positive news for people who need bone marrow transplants when donor stem cells are not available. The approach may also help further aging research. ow.ly/nSpg50FR4Vi

I was a excited about the prospect of rapid publication of pre-prints on BioRxiv and have posted most of our work prior to publication. However, recent experience has altered my thinking on pre-print publication. I wonder if my experience is not normal.

Excellent conversation that highlights what a PI does beyond writing grant proposals. With so much negative reporting around the difficulty obtaining faculty jobs, it was good to see an excellent accounting of the amazing aspects of our jobs.
