We are delighted to announce that Dr Ebenezer Cudjoe, Lecturer in Childhood Studies at the University of Essex has joined the Editorial Board. Eben is currently a Guest Editor on our forthcoming special issue on Child Welfare in Africa.
Peer relations for these children are often charactised by bullying and victimisation as peers refer to their parent's mental illness in teasing, name-calling and isolating themselves during play activities.
In this paper, we utilized an innovative qualitative method, River of Life Oral History, to explore the meanings female caregivers associate with social control practices by their neighbors.

Our study investigates what the family setting looks like for children living with parental mental illness. We found the family setting can be chaotic and confusing for the child. But there are also encouraging moments. Parents can be supportive even with their mental illness
