Ever wondered what goes on inside ECHO?
For 43 years, we’ve worked alongside parents, patients and stakeholders to shape support that truly reflects the needs of our community.
Every decision we make is co-produced with the people who matter most.
#InsideECHO#43YearsOfECHO
The new GALAXY clinic at Evelina London will soon officially open and it’s out of this world! Over 100 children shared their brilliant ideas, and now every clinic area has planets and space-themed names, making the space fun, welcoming, and designed with kids at the heart.
We were lucky to have two wonderful volunteers in the office with us in April – Gemma and Ruby❤️
We truly couldn’t do our work without the dedication and kindness of our volunteers. We are so grateful for everything you do ✨
3D printed hearts making a real difference 🫀
In February half term, our ECHO teens and their parents came together for an ECHO x Health Tech Research Centre event, they were amazing at learning and talking about research and seeing 3D heart printing up close
Having a sibling with CHD can be incredibly special, but it can also be tough sometimes.
We’re creating a storybook for younger children to help them feel seen, supported, and understood and we need YOUR help to create it!

Important DLA Update
If your child has congenital heart disease, the DWP is reviewing DLA decisions made between Feb 2017 – Oct 2020.
What this means:
-You may be entitled to back payments
-Your child’s award could increase
-Reviews will NOT reduce your current award
For families of children with complex heart conditions, hospital stays can be long, exhausting and overwhelming. That’s why small changes matter.
By supporting the parents’ room, whether it’s providing a microwave or simply making time for a cup of tea - ECHO can help.

Wear Red This February ❤️
National Heart Month is here, and we’re inviting everyone to wear red and shine a spotlight on children’s heart conditions! A massive high-five to young Dylan, whose family is supported by ECHO, for presenting to his whole school!
He shared his story, inspired his classmates, and showed exactly what it means to be a superhero - absolute legend! Want to join in? Schools, workplaces, and everyone can take part by wearing red, fundraising, or donating. Show us your superhero style! Email hello@echo-uk.org!
Huge THANK YOU to Isaac, our real-life superhero 💙
On his 16th birthday, Isaac took on an incredible challenge running a half-marathon to raise money and awareness for ECHO. Living with a heart condition himself, Isaac wanted to give something back.
You can channel your own inner superhero, take on a challenge, and help change lives! If you feel inspired, we have lots of ideas. Simply get in touch with us – Thank you, ISAAC - You can also still support Isaac and ECHO here 👉 gofund.me/bbc457c3f
He ran around the Evelina Hospital and has already raised such an amazing amount… what an absolute hero! Isaac’s story shows that young people affected by heart disease have the power to make a difference.
