"Clearly, what we are seeing here today is a continuation of the fifteen month saga of the Republican majority lost in the desert," said AOC. "Impeachment 101, the majority party or whomever is raising impeachment must accuse the president of a high crime, a specific high crime or misdemeanor." During another stretch of the hearing, AOC voiced the same issue— "At this point, the story isn’t the fact that the basis of this impeachment inquiry is wrong. The story is, ‘Why it is proceeding anyway?’" she asked, pointing out that there are "no charges" on the table. "I have yet to hear in the chairman’s opening the allegation that they are specifically charging the president of the United States with," she went on. "I am hearing about the ‘Biden family.’ I am hearing about this and that. I am not hearing the specific allegation by this committee. What is it? It is not here. And that is the problem." “The story is when this committee knew they were working with falsified evidence? That is the story," she added. Well said congresswoman! This impeachment inquiry is an utter disgrace and a complete waste of taxpayer dollars. All that it proves is that Republicans have nothing to hit President Biden on.
