So after talking with friend of mine who works in the business side of things, about the situation going on with youtube shorts distribution issue, we might have come to find out what is going on. Youtube/Google has pushed an algorithmic update, which involes the EEAT (experience, expertise, authoriativeness, trustworthiness) and it started May 21st and rollout was completed on the 2nd; and would take 2 weeks to fully implement. This is exactly when I and others started having countless issues with our shorts and even longform content being pushed to the algo and beyond our personal communities. I also worry that this situation is possibly compounded beyond that with utilizing scheduling whether it be Youtube's inherent video scheduling, or third party scheduling of shorts and content. Of course it's right now guess work, but I posted a short non-scheduled from private and my views are returning specifically on that short, to their previous levels. Meanwhile my longform I posted yesterday that was members-only first; has stalled and was 99.8% served to my audience and *not* to the broader algo. The same was with shorts prior. So I think there's a compounded issue possibly in part to the algorithm changes... And is why @YouTube @TeamYouTube is pretty much silent or are giving bot-responses on twitter. I don't know if these are the reasons, but given the information we've found... It really seems to be pointing at an algorithmic shift. :/ Unfortunately, I do not have answers.

Good News Everyone~! MRI update: nothing dangerous going on! They found something called a pituitary microadenoma, which sounds scarier than it is. It's one of the most common things to stumble across in brain scans. Just need some follow-up bloodwork and possibly another MRI down the line to keep an eye on it since it's near my optic nerve. There's plenty wrong with my brain as a recovering fujoshi, but nothing medically concerning. 😅

Got my tickets! We went last year and it was our favorite event! Very excited to go again.

I can't even with @TeamYouTube 's AI reply on the shorts view bug. Losing my patience with this situation that has been ongoing since late May. There was a supposed "fix". I've spoken with multiple vtubers and non-vtuber creators on this, and it's all the same it's not fixed.

In 1903, the French government expelled the Carthusian monks from their monastery in the Alps and seized everything they owned. The monastery. The distillery. The equipment. All of it. There was just one little problem. Only two monks in the entire order knew the recipe for Chartreuse, and they had memorized it. There was nothing written down that the government could take. The French government hired chemists to reverse-engineer it. They analyzed every bottle they could find. They ran every test available to early 20th Century science. They could not replicate it. The liqueur they produced under the Chartreuse name was so inferior that it destroyed the brand almost immediately. Sales collapsed. The company the government set up to produce it went bankrupt in 1929. The monks, meanwhile, had relocated to Tarragona in Spain and were producing the real thing the entire time. In 1929, the same year the French government's operation went under, the monks quietly bought back the rights to their own name and returned to their monastery. The recipe is still known by exactly two monks at any given time. When one dies or becomes too ill to continue, he passes his portion to a successor. The full recipe has never been written down in a form that has left the order. Chartreuse is made from 130 Alpine plants and herbs. The monks tend the distillery themselves. They take no outside employees into the production process. The 1605 manuscript that started all of this is still held in the monastery archive. The French Third Republic lasted from 1870 to 1940.
