What would a come back look like @ededucate
For me we might have to totally relaunch and change the whole way we do things except the principle. ED NURSE EDUCATION!
Thoughts? @SisterScrappy@drsalwamalik
Just putting this out there! Are there folks out there who need a project? As you will have noticed we haven’t exactly been delivering on the content side .. we just don’t have the capacity. Does anyone fancy taking this on.. pushing us into background and owning it for a bit!
Yesterday on shift in ED- 18hours to offload from ambulances, >70 hour (!) wait for admission to wards. No facilities for washing/warm food/dignity. I have taken to asking families to feed their relatives. It has never been this bad. #Moralinjury#burnout#moralexhaustion
Self-extrication should be considered as the primary route of egress for trapped patients of all ages.... next up: our Delphi work which defines those that can be helped by self-extrication, with: @NFCC_FireChiefs@ParamedicsUK@_ukro@FPHCEd@ResearchPHOTON &NHRAF
Another piece of the “extrication puzzle”
Published yesterday in @SJTREM (so it’s free to download digest)
In summary:
- older patients don’t do well
- get them out promptly
- ideally use self extrication
Thanks again @RoadSafetyTruUK for the support

Well done to the team @FacEmergNurse for releasing such an exciting opportunity.

ED triage nurses things you may want to add for those you see at When was the vaccine? Was it AZ? Doing bloods-don’t automatically send D-diner but perhaps take a clotting and save.
I want to create a live version of the framework which has a link in every section to, an online educational resource, a signpost to a national course or a blog/video that you may already have that meets this section. This can be hosted on EDeducate authored by you or ...
