Importantly, @RukminiPande notes the default fan is white, middle class, cisgender and (Anglo-)American. Fans outside of those demographics and practice lone fandom can thus be doubly-overlooked within fan studies. #scms21 #scmsH03

Interviews took places with costume designers, VPs of licensing and design. Practice of dressing up like actors on screen has a long history. From about 2010s fandom has become more accepted and it's used as a tool for marketing items.
