“These works, often referred to as “grey literature,” are difficult to access or not valued as evidence by mainstream scholarship, partly because it is not classified and protocols for appraising it are not well developed or widely used.”
“It is this challenge that the IWG will address. I am particularly pleased that this initiative will help to raise the profile and use of African-produced research.”
The two-day IWG has involved participants from 17 countries.
