It's easy to have principles when you're winning. The real test is having principles when you're losing-Bill Russell The true measure of toughness and character is found in your willingness to be honest and to be able to hold each other accountable when things don't go your way.

Dissonance: ✅ Negativity: ❌ Dissonance in schools is a powerful thing. Negativity is not. School cultures do not improve when dissonance does not exist. Dissonance begins with discomfort and leads to change when people are willing to work toward solutions. Negativity dwells on the problem and become the excuse for change not happening. There is a big difference between the two.

To close the engagement gap we must commit to the belief that learning isn’t optional. Drop the mindset teachers teach, & students can learn or not. Ts have to create an environment where students can’t choose 2 opt out. Teachers must make the path of least resistance undesirable
