You’re totally right. If it wasn’t directed by Spielberg and his signature camera movement, story influence, score, scale, pace, and hand-picked actors and instead was an Amazon movie starring Chris Pratt, yes it would be just like Mercy
I honestly think if Disclosure Day didnt have Spielberg name attached it'd be getting similar reviews to this years Mercy. They aren't that different of films

There are at least 3 theaters near my house, including an IMAX theater. Two of them I can get to by motorcycle or car, and one of them is literally across the street, so I can just walk there (except if it's raining) Tickets: Between Rp35k–Rp75k (roughly $2.10–$4.50 USD) Transportation: Around Rp15k (~$0.90 USD) if I use Gojek (motorcycle online service) Food: At most around Rp75k (~$4.50 USD), but I try to keep it down these days. I usually eat at home beforehand, so at the theater I usually just get water. So the total cost is: Cheapest: Around Rp35k–Rp50k (~$2.10–$3.00 USD) if I walk and skip snacks. Typical: Around Rp50k–Rp90k (~$3.00–$5.40 USD). Most expensive: Around Rp165k ($9.90 USD) with transportation and snacks included. Compared to what I see people from Americans posting online, going to the movies here is pretty affordable πŸ˜…
how much money does one trip to the cinema costs to y’all?? tickets and snacks and everything included

They should make more Toy Story movies as long as Hanks and Allen are still alive
Tom Hanks and Tim Allen say you can’t make a β€˜TOY STORY’ movie without Woody or Buzz. β€œIs it the Beatles without Paul and George?”

For a guy who has had 60 years of career in filmmaking making tons of great movies and classic, he's way too big to fail to tarnish his legacy πŸ˜…
he’s tarnished his legacy. this film has no new or good ideas. David Koepp should be banished from making a film ever again

Eisenberg as Lex sucks, he's annoying than threating. Felt like he was actually Riddler but somebody gave him a Lex costume to act like it At least Eisenberg himself was aware that his performance was poorly received 🀷
Zack Snyder's Lex did it better. He is the best. Change my mind.

The Adventures of Tintin > The Post > Lincoln > Bridge Of Spies > War Horse > Ready Player One > The BFG
I am so glad that we're not in 2010s Spielberg anymore

Yeah, 2010s is definitely Spielberg's weakest decade. There's only 3 of these that are great, the rest are just okay to pretty awful, that being The BFG
I am so glad that we're not in 2010s Spielberg anymore

A lot of people talk about how Spielberg cooked in 1993 with Jurassic Park and Schindler's List, two of the greatest films he has ever made. But people rarely mention that in 2002, he pulled off something almost as impressive by releasing Minority Report in the Summer and Catch Me If You Can at Christmas in the very same year. Both films are beloved and often cited among the strongest works of his later career, yet I'm actually surprised it's uncommon to see people point out that they came out just six months apart in the same year. This is one of the most underrated accomplishments of his entire career.
