Great start to 6th grade science watching students collaborate and communicate. We built tall towers with pipe cleaners and found out who knew the planets or could sing the Bill Nye theme song. @SRMS_Official

We wrapped up our unit on energy resources with a coal mining simulation. Students "mined" chocolate chips from a cookie to see how many chips(coal) they could dig out and how the cookie(land) was affected by the process. @SRMS_Official

Always fun to watch students be engaged in a lesson. Students programmed the robot to travel through the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. My favorite part is hearing them clap and cheer when they accomplish the task. @SRMS_Official @MathFraser
