In my experience, the eyes often carry more weight in facial animation than the mouth or cheeks.
I try to give the eyes a little more attention so they feel right.

Acting is terribly hard and is such an incredible craft!

Some beginners feel that using video reference is ‘cheating’ but it really isn’t. It’s simply a helpful tool for discovering interesting choices and nuances we might not come up with on our own.

Saw this performance back in 2020 and had to try a quick animation test. A few months ago, I revisited it using Ramon rigs, which was such a refreshing experience. I’ve always loved close-up shots :)
