I wrote about the ultimate road trip song, CCR's electrified anti-privilege anthem "Fortunate Son", for this week's @FTLifeArts "Life of a Song".
It was the lavish wedding of Nixon’s daughter and Eisenhower’s grandson – while thousands of American soldiers were being sent to their deaths in Vietnam – that was the final straw for Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogerty. So he wrote Fortunate Son on.ft.com/2KBh90n
