If these tariffs are enforced it could bring the movie industry to a standstill. Movies may be filmed overseas for a variety of reasons - location, money, taxes, you name it. Rather than make films in the U.S., filmmakers may just not be able to make their movies at all.
President Trump’s proclamation of a 100% tariff on “all movies produced in foreign lands” has many scratching their heads. What does it mean? If the sound editing is done in London, does that make the movie foreign-produced? Is it subject to a 100% tariff?
