I am very proud of my language and I think it is possibly one of the greatest and most expressive languages in the world.
That said, having your language be "the global language" sort of trivializes its identity.

Jumping back into this bc my timeline told me to, but you'd have to alter AT LEAST 4/6 of these defining features to even veer upon a sufficiently derrived enough Star Wars blaster design.

The mag combined with the general shape of the AK and the bit you highlighted is what makes the AK within this blaster design easily recognizable. You can't really rid the general shape (For obvious reasons.) so you have to remove those other two parts and chuck some random stuff on it for a sufficient blaster design.
