I'm looking for a Staff Software Dev *remote* role. Distributed systems are my jam: everything behind the frontend.
I've over 20 years of software dev experience, much of it in Ruby and Java. C was my mother tongue; it still holds a place in my heart.

I enjoy mentoring folks and have several years of eng mgmt experience so tech leadership is good by me.
I've spoken at several tech conferences, love Test Driven Development (it's not for everyone but automated tests should be!), and am a fast learner of most things tech.

I'm a believer that devs should own the software they write end-to-end, including the operations. Automate as much as possible, document the rest, and have useful telemetry and alerts when things go awry. Do your postmortems/retrospectives, and hold accountability.
