Yes, I’m opening my female-focused event to other genders. 👀 Before you judge, here’s why:
Indeed a good amount have told me they wished our events were only for females. But my question is, are we only going to feel confident when there’s only female in the room? Our goal is to empower women in a realistic setting, because the world isn’t female-only. Building true confidence means learning to voice your opinions and own your presence, even when other genders are in the room.
If it’s your first time joining us, it starts here — putting your insecurities aside and asking, “If the world is like this, what’s our next course of action as a collective? What can we do together so that we all grow?” Instead of blaming the world for being unfair, you owe yourself the chance to level up.
And if a non-female makes the effort to show up, why stop them from learning how to be more sensitive, supportive, and aware of the challenges women face in the industry? That’s how real allyship begins.
Finally, this event is about celebrating female achievements. So why limit that awareness to only females, when other genders can also show up, learn, and amplify the recognition of women’s contributions?
Of course, if anyone makes you feel uncomfortable or turns up with bad intentions, please let us know immediately, this space will always remain safe.
The more people who respect and support women, the further we can all go together. ✨ We will still prioritise entry for females as it is a female-centric event after all but we will be welcoming allies with any additional spots we have.
Come join us as we gather builders & innovators for an evening of connection & conversation ahead of TOKEN2049 Singapore week. 🇸🇬
