He marched at Selma. He was standing next to King when he was assassinated. He ran for president twice and changed who gets to run in America. Love him or hate him, Jackson spent 60 years refusing to let America forget its promises to Black people. He outlived almost everyone who stood beside him in the movement. Rest in peace.
