Eyecatchers 👀
This one is a bit more obscure but was a big eye-catcher for me.
TEKITOFF
(Pink & black silks, stall 1)
Previously ran twice for D Brooke and this was his first start for Mark Walford after a 232-day break, finishing an improved 4th.
Considering he had only beaten two rivals in his two previous runs and recorded a best RPR of 24, this was already a clear step forward.
There were also a few reasons to mark the run up further:
• First run after 232 days off
• Raced on the far side throughout, furthest from where the pace developed
• No cover on a night where cover mattered with a strong headwind
Tekitoff now becomes eligible for handicaps and could easily end up on a workable mark in low-grade races over 7f–8f.
