Oh hey, that's me in the local paper!
I've got an extensive background working on a lot of legislation with you all at the Capitol, and all of those bills are to make life better for all Nebraskans.
Let's get into it. 🧶

In the presser to sign the amended LB89 into law, Pillen did the following:
1) said we shouldn't "think through every hypothetical situation" when we pass laws even though laws are serious things and
2) advocated for vigilante violence against trans youth.
Shameful. Disgusting.
Does not matter if you don't think the "hypothetical situations" merit your consideration, because they matter to the rest of us.
The Governor is an elected official. These Senators are, too. And they clearly don't take that job seriously.
The saga of LB258, overturning the will of the voters on minimum wage increases, continues.
Today, they are trying to attach it to Sorrentino's LB265 (the least he could do after missing the vote on Final Reading).
Some other bills on the agenda they could attach it to for funsies-
LB217 says "employees" so - germane.
LB454 says "change" and both wages and change are money so - germane.
LB530 says "limits" and LB258 limits min wage so - germane.
Lots of options when nothing matters.
