this was when i knew that i would have to do anything possible to leave this country. i don’t think i cried more in my life than one that night. i was having panic attacks, i developed bruxism, i woke up to blood in my mouth because i bit my tongue while asleep.

The EndSARS massacre and the ensuing coordinated disinformation campaign historical denialism dampened a lot of spirits in this country. It wasn’t just that people died - it was also watching people side with the government to deny their deaths or blaming them for being there.

This and a hatred of unhoused people as well.
hatred of immigrants is a sign of moral weakness. one of the more obvious tells that you're just not a good person.

i’d argue that this is ideological, and people have entirely different things that drive them. i definitely tell people if they want to marry another carrier, they should try not to have biological kids, however for some people love is not the most paramount thing in their lives.
My boyfriend always says if a genotype and the love of biological children stops you from being with someone you love, you don’t really love the person

but some people really just want to have kids. some people will place love above it all, for some love and their desire for children are equal level, and for some other things come before love and that includes children.

it comes down to what hold value to you and in what esteem you hold love. love is never just enough for some folks, and that’s their philosophy.

I’ve been to countries poorer than ours whose citizens don’t behave the way we do when money is involved. It's so shameful.

Our society is entirely amoral and most of us believe that having money is a virtue in itself. It’s a shame.

Africa’s ruling class isn’t a fully independent bourgeoisie, they’re intermediaries. They manage extraction on behalf of foreign capital in exchange for personal accumulation
