Presentation is one aspect of design that many get wrong or execute with little finesse and intentionality.
Sometimes, one is focused on working on designs that check all the functionality and aesthetics boxes, and then goes on to present it with bare minimum effort.
It's important to incorporate quality mockups, good photography with some nice angles and quality, motion, BTS, sketch vs. final outcome, and maybe some digital vs. print or design on screen vs. design in use images.
With a sprinkle of storytelling here and there.
Suddenly, the design feels relatable, more understood, more memorable, context is given, and it becomes more than something on the screen.
The quality of your presentation can take the perception of your work/project from a 4.5 to 7/8.
The industry keeps telling young designers to โlearn AI or get left behind.โ
How about:
โข learn color theory.
โข learn typography.
โข learn how to present your work.
โข learn to take feedback without dying inside.๐
