NIAA FOI-2526-020 on the Terms of Reference for the Voice - Referendum Working Group/Chatham House Rules will be added to the NIAA disclosure log in 9 days. Here’s a screenshot. I wonder if RWG members realised that being in-the-room meant accepting Labor’s constrained reporting of deliberations in their communiques, and committing to secrecy about any differences of opinion for the sake of a unified front? Surely, if the Voice represented a significant policy implementation, the deliberations that lead to the decisions around the detail should have been presented to the public. It seems that this secrecy and Labor’s stage managing played into the hands of the if-you-don’t-know crowd. #voicetoparliament

If you live in North America or Europe it is easier to get hold of a copy of the new book curated by Voice proponents Gabrielle Appleby and Megan Davis than it is for an Australian.
