As of today I have 100 days until my last day of classes! I’ll still have a few hundred clinical hours to complete but I see the light at the end of the tunnel! I’m so grateful for this opportunity to go back to school and become a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

I haven't made any decisions about whether I will run for office again, but regardless of my future it's a violation of representation of people in my neighborhood that they are cut off from their community.

The folks toiling overnight to support our representatives in #waleg need this action below. @WAAFLCIO @lebrown1one @aprilr_sims Let's do this! #HB1806
Replying to @WAAFLCIO
@WAAFLCIO @lebrown1one @aprilr_sims We’ve got to get #HB1806 across the finish line. Please call @lauriejinkins2 and insist this bill make it to the floor for a vote. All workers, including leg staff, deserve a union. #waleg

This redistricting is looking suspicious. Interesting that the line was drawn less than a mile from my house kicking me out of my district and moving me to the 12th? Someone is afraid of me running again.

It does not make sense to group Snoqualmie / North Bend with Lake Chelan and Cashmere, this feels like retribution

We need healthcare workers to be heard now more than ever! I will always fight to give a voice to healthcare providers and patients.
I am so proud to be a part of the movement advocating for workers rights! #unionstrong

Just overheard a ER doctor tell a patient “If you are concerned about C02 levels from a face mask, then our climate crises is really gonna make you lose your mind”

BREAKING! The Worker Protection Act (HB 1076) has passed the House! This is a huge and long needed step to ensure that worker rights on the job are protected. #waleg

It was such a pleasure to join the WSNA 2021 Advocacy Camp to speak about how to be a nurse advocate and my experience running for office! There were nearly 700 nurses and students attending! We also were able to listen to Governor Inslee as a guest speaker!

Attending the virtual @StateofReform conference to learn and discuss the pressing issues of healthcare. Great hearing from Dr. Murray from @IHME_UW
Vaccine hesitancy will become an issue when there is enough supply by late spring, says Dr. Christopher Murray, IHME. @IHME_UW #stateofreform

Today I was able to receive my first dose of the COVID vaccine. I did this not just for me, but for my son, my parents and my community. The only path we have through this pandemic is by having a successful vaccine.

We are still learning though. While we know this will reduce the risk of serious illness we are not sure if this will also reduce transmission, but I am hopeful that this too will be the case. It isn’t just about reducing death but also reducing morbidity/long term complications.

In the meantime, I will continue to mask and practice social distancing, for the sake of my loved ones and community.
