Many people seek recruitment into the Forest Guards mainly to escape unemployment, rather than to commit themselves to the core purpose of the initiative. The government need take decisive steps to ensure the original aim is not undermined.
Many acting woke on social media are amplifying opposition voices; not even their own concerns as informed and responsible citizens demanding the government in power irrespective of political affiliation protect Nigerians, deliver good governance for all.
The Ramat Park flyover is a lasting legacy. Edo people who appreciate its value will continue to welcome this vital infrastructure and commend Governor Okpebholo for it. That said, it does not prevent us from holding his government accountable and offering constructive criticism when needed.

Democracy is built on participation and accountability. Citizens participate by voting in elections, speaking their minds, joining discussions, protesting peacefully, running for office, or supporting meaningful causes that matters to them.
When it comes to governance discuss, I steer clear of political parties and individuals entirely. My attention is directed towards government institutions and public officials for the greater public good.
This is Monday Okpebholo I supported and campaigned for to be governor in 2024. I backed him not because I was unaware of this ugly side of him, but because he is genuinely people-oriented.. . Nigerian ‘activists’ are busy competing among themselves; fighting to be the loudest and most influential instead of genuinely collaborating to engage the government and demand real delivery for the people.
While democracy is rooted in justice and the rule of law, Peter Obi’s statement that he would (override the judiciary to) release Nnamdi Kanu (and others) who have been convicted raises serious questions about his commitment to judicial independence and due process.
