There are jobs in the UK.
The more challenging thing is finding a job with sponsorship.
Not necessarily because companies don’t want to sponsor, but sponsoring you means a particular minimum salary.
If you are an entry level, meeting that minimum means increasing salary across all levels in your department and possibly across other departments in the company.
Most owners will rather source local talents or international talents who need no sponsorship.
This is where the UK global talent visa comes into play.
There are different paths to a UK global talent visa, but a PhD is one of the surest.
Because of the nature of a PhD, I recommend doing it only on scholarship.
If you live in the UK as a masters student or on post study visa and interested in a PhD, I have a tutorial that will guide you to winning a fully funded PhD.
