What's happening in Texas will lead to higher rates of abuse, harassment, and ultimately suicides of trans children. Greg Abbott is attempting to completely erase trans children from the public square, and trans kids will die because of it. Those are the stakes here.

There’s a lot I wanna say here, but Greg Abbott basically just told closeted trans children that if they come out, his state government is going to take them away from their affirming parents.
Imagine being a closeted, scared trans child with that responsibility on your heart.

Greg Abbot has officially directed Family and Protective Services to begin investigating all trans children in Texas and prosecuting their parents as child abusers.
He has also instructed all teachers, doctors, and caregivers to begin reporting any trans students they see.
