his attitude with things like this is one of the reasons his content is so dear to me. it's so clear that he makes content for the love of it instead of trying to be strategic with his content & gaming the algorithm (which is fine too, get that money). it just feels more genuine

i don't really care about sponsored segments and streams and whatever but knowing someone makes the choice to stay true to their values and their audience instead of promoting something for some extra money feels refreshing in the age of Advertisements Everywhere You Look

whenever people ask cub for tips about making videos etc he always says to make stuff you would want to watch and i just think it's cool how clear it is from his content that he truly lives by that advice as well

unfortunate realization i had while thinking about this is that many people's cubs could benefit from being written a little more like how people characterize grian. little prankster chaos gremlin that likes messing with everyone? yeah that's cub. he's just not as loud about it..
