Late to the party but I just saw Backrooms and really enjoyed it. Story was just alright, but where it absolutely worked was in the super uncanny audio and visuals. It wasn't simply "random objects", instead being a nightmare take on countless semi-nostalgic spaces. Great stuff!

This game seemed like vaporware for the longest time. So many teasers with seemingly pre-rendered footage. But it's finally starting to look real, which is a nice turn. Love the monster designs.

Watched Dagon (2001) last night and was surprised by how close it is to Resident Evil 4. American guy gets trapped in a rural spanish town full of zombie-like cultists. Gets infected by some mysterious plague and has to save the girl from the cult. Even the merchant shows up.
