But the Yoruba people have done a great job in preserving our identity and unity based on Yoruba culture. We have created a pan Yoruba identity based on our Yoruba identity, civilization and ancestry. In the last elections, YORUBALAND was almost turned into another "Lebanon", how? South Easterners resident in the South west started to weaponize Christianity for their own political advantage. Firstly, they lured Osinbajo followers who were Christians into the Obidient movement by calling President Tinubu an Islamic fundamentalist. They went further by cloning Yoruba identity and started propagating Yoruba Christian versus Yoruba Muslim rhetoric. They wanted Yoruba churches, G.Os and Yoruba Christians to vote for Peter Obi a Christian Igbo instead of President Tinubu a Yoruba Muslim. Never had we seen such a brazen attempt to destabilise YORUBALAND along religious lines in this current republic. The Yoruba pastors like Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Kumuyi and Pastor Adefarasin who did not join them in this satanic movement were cyber trolled, cyber bullied and slandered on this app by Obidient mobs and their allies. If the South west goes on flames because of people like this who poisoned the water of peace in YORUBALAND by pitching Yoruba Muslims against Yoruba Christians because of an Igbo political project, will Nigeria know peace? Absolutely not! As a Yoruba man or woman would you allow such toxic residents who are using Christianity to destabilise YORUBALAND to have a say in our politics? Will the Igbos allow Yorubas or Hausas to use religion to destabilise the Southeast?
