A few reasons why most Black South Africans are still far from true upliftment:
- They vote for leaders who are money-hungry & not focused on serving the people
- They make excuses when they need to support black-owned businesses
- They take their kids to white schools as soon as they have a bit of money
- They run businesses that open late & close early
- They love booze, dancing & partying, over being productive
- They hate on productive ppl instead of learning from them
- They accept bribes when put in positions to uphold the law
- They lie on affidavits & application forms
- They prefer consuming social media than studying or working
- They never take accountability for their realities
- They blame 400yrs of white oppression, while idolizing black ppl who have become rich within 30yrs of being alive
- They get angry when you call them out instead of embracing constructive criticism
- They buy from Pakistani spaza shops, get their phones fixed by Bangladeshis, get their hair styled by Ghanaians & Mozambicans, hire Malawian builders, & nannies from eSwatini & Lesotho.
- They leave hundreds of hectares of land in the villages to be maids & security guards, while living in shacks, then cry for land
- They give their money to scammer pastors to try get miracles
- They have money for gambling & sports betting, but not for stocking goods to resell
- They look down on selling goods, being car guards, driving Ubers, being scooter courier guys, etc.
- They are addicted to sex & will walk 10kms in the rain for sex but will have excuses to hustle for their business.
- They are scared & lazy to travel
- They want things ready-made & don't want to build, and deal with delayed gratification
- They worship white ppl, while simultaneously despising them
- They fight each other based on class & English accents
The number one way that Black ppl can change their lives is to buy from other Black ppl... no matter how difficult it is... until the Black Economy rises.
Lastly... they bash Black ppl who tell them truths... and praise those who sell them false dreams.
