So, he’s in-bound to Blighty, so it’s our last chance to share this festive little ditty, complete with a little festive mashup at the end inspired by @BBCSteveR’s recent efforts. Merry Christmas all 🎅🏻

Presumably there’s not need for a label as the shirt itself can be scanned at the till point?
Home lives in black and white. This is Newcastle. Introducing the 26/27 Newcastle United home jersey, available now.

It really hits home how ancient you are when the children of your footballing heroes start retiring 🙄
Major honours and major moments 👏 It’s been a pleasure, Kasper 💙

Massive game for @OfficialBHAFC today. There can be only one outfit choice @SayersBHAFC.

The big problem with this World Cup squad is the left field picks are dull. Not picking Palmer but taking Dowman would be left field but exciting. Taking Burn not Shaw or Hall is left field but boring. Heaps pressure on Tuchel and the team. He now has to win it. #worldcup

I can’t be bought by anyone says man who charged just £87 to make a video praising the IRA
EXC: “He who pays the piper picks the tune?” “Hang on a second. Hang on a second. I can't be bought by anybody.” Nigel Farage responds to £5m donor investigation insisting “I'm not and never have been” a crook Now claims it was “reward for campaigning for Brexit for 27 years”

I thought yesterday the gift (funny how close that word is to grift), wasn’t in any way political. Except it came from one of the largest political donors in the country’s history and was a reward for pushing through a political project 🤥

💯 this. As far as I can see Iran have made no concessions in order to halt the US attacks. Sure Hormuz is open again but transformed from an open route to the world’s most expensive toll road, totally at Iran’s mercy and a tool to enrich the regime and rebuild. Trump folded.
I suspect what we will see over the next two weeks is Trump literally making up a peace process. He will publish a list of invented concessions from Iran, claim them as a victory, then simply walk away.

This is objectively true. However, if your whole system is based around a focal no.9 stitching things together and you don’t explore the like-for-like alternatives to plan for a worst case scenario without Kane (Welbeck, Toney, Watkins), then Tuchal is due some criticism.
It was poor last night. But this anti-Tuchel stuff is way over the top. It was a friendly. The man won the group with 8 wins out of 8, and zero goals conceded. Key players were unavailable. And it's not his fault players like Palmer, Foden and Watkins are shadows of 2 years ago.

Can you imagine a chance to win a World Cup falling to Calvert-Lewin or Solanke? Neither should be in a conversation which involves Welbeck and Watkins. Not sure what Tuchel is thinking when it comes to back up strikers. If tonight wasn’t enough to force a rethink nothing will be

What a thoroughly brilliant human being @dannykellywords is. Huge credit for using his platform to help others when he’s going through such personal turmoil. Wishing him all the best for his recovery and looking forward to hearing him back on @talkSPORT soon.

I feel desperately sorry for Antonin Kinsky. If you’ve never played in goal you can’t truly understand what it’s like and what it feels like when everything goes wrong. I hope he can come back from it and the club are supporting him - it’s a lot for a 22 year old to shoulder.

That said, I think Igor Tudor’s actions were deplorable. He set the lad up to fail and then poured embarrassment and shame onto him by subbing him so early. As the lad left the field on the verge of tears, Tudor blanked him. No consoling words, no arm round the shoulder.

If I showed such an absence of care and dereliction of my pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities to one of the youth players I coach, the club and the FA would be rightly all over me. #spurs #thfc #igortudor

Thoughts on yesterday’s game. Milner excellent again, brings that bit of composure and nous which Beleba, for all his strengths, sometimes lacks. Gomez will always be a frustrating watch, full of running and capable of brilliance but also regularly failed to control passes and…

Forest are in real trouble. Worldie from Gibbs-White aside, they offered so little going forward against a Brighton side who played quite open. The back 4 look super fragile and the whole team was so indisciplined. The mad foul in the last minute of extra time summed them up 🤯

One final thing, looking at how European football has decimated the league form of Forest, Newcastle, Spurs, Palace, perhaps Brighton fans should reassess the 23/24 season. Certainly made a better fist of balancing domestic and European football than most have.

Another day of rain, another set of cancelled youth football fixtures. Our U11 team haven’t played a match on grass since 30th November and only played twice in total since then. More rain this week and little hope that the pitches will be anything other than flooded.

A few thoughts. 1. Hurzeler’s quest to make #BHAFC more physical has stripped all of the fluency out of the play. 2. He seems not to really like dynamic wingers. 3. There is no creative flair or threat yet Buonanotte, Osaman, Watson, Cozier Duberry, Gruda, Ferguson all on loan
