built my first @figma plugin today! Take any image of text - screenshots, logos, handwriting - and make it editable directly in Figma by turning it into a complete font. now just need to submit it for review...

I got backlash on the font generator workflow but tbh there's so many positive applications of AI in typography that designers really want. Ex: I added this new workflow that lets you upload any TTF and the model can generate an italics version of the same font in seconds.

I added extended Latin language support to mixfont. now font designers can use their base set and then extend their fonts to support over 300 glyphs for important regional languages like Welsh, Basque, Icelandic, and more.

Typography should be accessible to everyone. It's a foundational part of design that shouldn't be controlled only by corporations with powerful lawyers. Here's a demo of the model working from just a text prompt - no screenshots at all - creating a modern sans serif headline ttf that I can download and use in any of my projects.

font licensing is kinda broken? screen-recording of my new workflow: when I find a font, instead of paying literally $2,221 USD, I screenshot a few words, ai generate the typeface, and then download & use the new TTF. now just need to figure out how embed the model into design processes better...
