We were honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester to the workshop on Thursday, 2nd October, as part of an official visit to Sheffield which celebrated the city’s world-renowned tradition of craftsmanship and the makers who continue to sustain it.

1. Kutrite Works, Snow Lane (from 1969)
In 1969, Ernest Wright moved into this large factory on Snow Lane, formerly known as ‘Moorfield Works’. The company had outgrown its workshop, and was selling a vast range of hand tools – including the Kutrite Flat Kitchen Scissors.
