So, if Im to understand this argument correctly, a target of 3% hiring out of 100% total, in country where 13% of population is disabled per BLS, and is only hiring class per DoT where by law there is such a target, can be defined as “prioritizing” DEI over all, including safety?

Lets give Jorge Lopez his props. Mets 12-4 since he cared enough to get pissed off about sucking. I’d say top three in team MVP voting so far this season.

We came up with rapid Covid tests (albeit with maybe more at stake than long suffering Mets fans experience) but cant some chemist @AmChemistry figure out a way to have @MLB swab for rosin and sweat vs spider tack btwn innings? May not earn a Nobel but would sorta be useful

MLB and umps are well intentioned, but judgment (and circumstantial evidence) isn’t enough to forever brand someone a cheater. Especially when it’s only 1 of 100 umpires who ever makes this call! nypost.com/2023/04/20/max-sc…

Similar to an employer who has match program for individual employee donations (in my case goats in Africa and landmine sniffing rats in Cambodia) saying match being discontinued because the company’s impact not big enough. I guess that’s next.

the kind of cost cutting a wise leader identifies as nickel and dime stuff and not the answer. And the explanation, ‘Amazon’s’ impact was not big enuf, tone deaf big tech narcissism for program designed to let others choose impacts they wanted locally. imo cnbc.com/2023/01/18/amazon-d…

best to admit when one is a petty individual: While in job market I think every worker should pursue whatever opportunity they think best, in sports i act as if this logic does not apply, and so I am happy Harden is out of playoffs. Which seems petty if honest for a brooklynite

Really enjoyed this and the Beatles riffing comparison a great open. This album saw me through one long ago road trip up and down Pac Coast Highway vying with VU’s Loaded and my appreciation has never waned regardless of its rep relative to other Pavement

taxes done and looks like beyond food and gas, there's some serious inflation in the 1040 this year. Advanced child tax credit ponzi scheme didn't help -- here one minute, back to Uncle Sam the next. But if funding Ukrainian aid, guess I'm OK with it. cnb.cx/34HhXhZ

For Mets fans currently in spring training warm-up mode for our typical early season delusional belief that things are in fact looking different and better and this year it's for real (!), a painful reminder of the oft-Mets truth arrives before opening day

I don't have problem with billionaires getting closer (not even all the way there!) but closer to paying same tax as I pay on a % of income basis. Demonizing them silly, but wage earners paying a lot more also sorta crazy (and always has been) imo
