Thank you to @PtoEagle for sponsoring our author visit with Nell Cross Beckerman! Our 3rd and 4th graders are learning about nonfiction writing and the beauty of nature. #eseSOAR@HumbleISD_ESE
The school year started with library renovations: new floor, new shelves (movable with magnetic white boards on the back 😍), new desk, new Chromebook cart, and a Newline Panel. ❤️ #ESEsoar
Many thanks to the @HumbleISD_FDN for helping us buy extra copies of the kids’ favorite books so they have a better chance of checking it out. We are so thankful and so excited!
(I was too excited to get a picture.)
🎓Calling all Seniors who attended Eagle Springs Elementary! It’s time for your Victory Lap! 🦅 Come strut your stuff down the halls one last time on Thursday, May 15 and let us celebrate YOU! 🎉 Don’t forget to RSVP using the QR code on the flyer. Can’t wait to see you there!
The library is the place for creativity! These two 5th graders love to plan out a city or community to build. They come up with the theme (park, city, etc) and then build it out.
We continued our Gift of Nothing tradition (year 12)! We read the Gift of Nothing and then created gifts for people we love because the best gifts come from the heart and can’t be bought: love, friendship, and time together.
I love to see their creativity!
Much to the students’ surprise, we did math in library to prepare for the book fair. We rounded up, estimated, calculated taxes, and picked our top titles. First step of shopping: know your budget!
Thank you for helping to make last week’s book fair the most successful fair we’ve had in years! It was so fun to see the kids so excited about their new books!
Thanks to generous donations, we now have over 30 copies of White Bird for kids to check out! Every kid who had their name on a waiting list now has a copy to read!
People are so kind. I was hoping for 5-6 copies, and we have more than a class set! ❤️ #amreading#choosekind
5th graders chose to read instead of playing at stations because they were so excited about White Bird.
Word spread, so when the other classes walked in, they would say things like, “I heard you have a lot of White Bird copies! Are there any left?” ❤️
