Dear friends of ESI,
On 9 May 1950, Robert #Schuman warned:
“A united Europe was not achieved, and we had war.”
Schuman then offered a way out.
Today, another warning should be heeded:
“The European integration of 🇺🇦 was not achieved, and we had war.”
After the Orange Revolution in 2004 and the Revolution of Dignity in 2014, the 🇪🇺 ruled out 🇺🇦 accession.
The historic challenge today is to ensure that this time is different.

Incredible. Publishing what appears to be (if you care to read the "evidence") a totally legitimate US program, and even citing the risks of these being used as "Russian information campaigns", Tulsi Gabbard - the gift that kept giving - presents the Kremlin with yet one more information operation.

And that number is falling worldwide.
BUT: The number of resettlements worldwide has halved over the past year!

“Some dramatic things are happening in 🇧🇦 right now,” warns Anton #Hofreiter, chair of the Europe Committee in the 🇩🇪 Bundestag and a member of the opposition Green Party.
“Trump’s corrupt relatives are currently trying to advance their economic interests,” Hofreiter explains, adding that “as a result, they have ensured that the high representative for 🇧🇦 … has announced his resignation because he stands in the way of their economic interests.”
Hofreiter warns that “Trump and his friends and relatives are willing to risk peace in Europe, in 🇧🇦, for their economic interests, simply for the sake of money.”
He then complains that this has not been widely reported in 🇩🇪, even though, for “us in Europe, it is of great significance.”
Hofreiter also criticises the German federal government for being “far too quiet about all of this.”
His expectation? For the 🇩🇪 government “to finally take action and show that the Trump administration cannot do whatever it wants here in Europe.” The government “should make it clear that this is not in our interest and, of course, not in the interest of the people of 🇧🇦 either.”
