Wall Browns and orange tips were out in good numbers a meadow filled with pignut (ancient grassland indicator) and bluebells (ancient woodland indicator) which I thought made an interesting contrast. Bluebells at their peak now in this local wood.

A lot of pied flycatchers at Gwaith Power WWT this morning, as well as a calling Cuckoo, green woodpecker and a garden warbler. Also interestingly was the bog beacon fungus Mitrula paludosa, probably the best place in North Wales to see this species.

Green winged orchid at Pwllheli this morning with an abundance of cowslips/briallu mair also on display a reeling grasshopper warbler and other common warblers. A lot of hirundines as well.

Cowslip growing amongst hordes of other wildflowers in a former arable field near Porth Meudwy, as well as an orange tip and bloody cranesbill down the valley a Wall butterfly from the garden.

This Borage was nice to find growing seemingly wild in a hedgerow, broom starting to flower. Also my first orange tip and a possible hobby which was a bit too quick...
