Tomorrow is the last day for my postdoc, Tekalign Debela @eth_ch. He’s been a wonderful addition to my lab for the past three years. He will join @MethodistU as a Tenure-Track Professor of both Chemistry and Physics. Good luck Tekalign! I’m really proud to branch the tree.

Out today, @ACSMatLett, we show that H-atom defects in Cu3(HITP)2 form with the same propensity as they do in Ni3(HITP)2, and the Cu d9 electron doesn’t play much of a role in supporting the different electron loadings. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs…

Baristas have long squirted coffee beans with water to produce a better cup of coffee. But thanks to Chris “Dr. Coffee” Hendon’s lab, we now know why. Their findings are reported in Cell Press’s journal Matter. #UOCAS

Extremely pleased to share our recent pure-theory work on H-atom defects in MOFs. They are probably found in the 2D conductors, and yield semiconductors, not metals! Appearing in @J_A_C_S, also soon to be on the front cover! pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jac…
