either way, I fucked up my 155 long entry
I already thought the ipo listing price at 135 was overvalued, let alone 155 and now it's at 180 it's just insane, imo the long isn't worth it here
either look for short entry or just stay away from it entirely
also, I was looking to long SPCX on HL today after seeing some tweets on the timeline since the IPO is tomorrow, but I changed my mind after reading XYZ's official tweet
If the price is going to match the oracle this week, why would anyone long it at a 20% premium today?

seriously why do you wanna compete in new pairs when there are actual demons farming that shit daily? and yes demons ngl I can’t do what they do either
but why ruin your own progress trying to beat players who are just way better at that specific game? just stay active and be on pc as much as you can, but that doesn’t mean click every garbage coin 24/7
"never stop clicking" doesn’t mean ape every slop launch, just wait for something actually good and size properly, the beauty of not playing new pairs is that everyone starts working for the same coin you’re in. big players will probably end up buying your bag too, which already gives you a way better chance of winning
so genuinely ask yourself, why keep choosing the hardest way to make money here? if you’re making money on new pairs then fair enough, keep farming but if you’re losing money every day, maybe it’s time to switch things up a bit yeah?

I don’t really get why everyone’s so mad about alon pushing the attention trading narrative. yeah community coins are great, even tho I personally barely made money from them (retardio is exception)
at the end of the day, people have always been trading attention. most of the money I’ve made came from trading narratives and momentum, whether that was frontrunning narratives early or catching short term attention shifts
from a business perspective, I actually think this could bring in more normies than community coins ever did. let’s be real, making money on community coins usually depends a lot on connections and insider circles and I say that as someone who spent almost all of my trading journey solo. so I don’t think pushing the attention trading narrative is necessarily a bad thing
will it affect community coins? Maybe
but influencers are already pushing stuff like polymarket hard and imagine if even 30% of those users got onboarded into memecoins by realizing they could potentially make more money trading attention and narratives instead of betting on prediction markets
honestly as someone who hated Pumpfun for almost a year, I think this is actually the right move from them. It kind of gives some hope back to solana trading.

buybacks will now be 50% of revenue, not 100%
today is a turning point for $PUMP and pump fun
I want to give more context on the bigger picture and where we're actually going.
over the past ~9 months, 100% of revenue went into buybacks. basically no other platform in crypto has done that at this scale.
however, we received ongoing feedback specifically on the feeling of a lack of trust - in the certainty of buybacks, in what would happen to the bought-back tokens, even in whether the business itself would be here in a year.
today, we’re changing that.
it started with burning ~$370M worth of $PUMP purchases. ~36% of the circulating supply removed from circulation, forever.
but that isn’t enough. we’ve also allocated 50% of our next year of revenue to programmatic buybacks & burns. no more uncertainty for those who believe in us & those we’re proud to call our community.
but why not 100%? the short answer is the business simply needs the other 50% to grow.
a large treasury gives us the flexibility to make big bets over the next 5-10 years, and 50% of ongoing revenue enables us to build better products, infrastructure & reinvest into the ecosystem. I am extremely confident that 50% of the business we're building toward will dwarf 100% of the business we have today.
